Ultimate 2025 Thai Ferry Booking Guide

“Book Your Ferry Ticket Fast – It Takes Less Than 5 Minutes, Just a Few Taps to Set Sail!” This article will guide you through every step of booking a ferry ticket on the ThailandFerryBooking website — from searching routes → making payment → receiving confirmation email — along with some handy tips to make your 2025 journey smoother than ever.

1 | Prepare Before Searching

Set Your Route: Choose your departure and destination islands (e.g. Phuket → Phi Phi, Samui → Phangan, Pak Bara → Koh Lipe).

Select Your Travel Date: We recommend booking 4–6 weeks in advance. During low season, book at least 1 week or no less than 3 days before departure.

If You Have a Flight: Check your flight time before booking your ferry ticket to avoid timing conflicts.

Check Required Documents: A valid ID card for locals or a passport for international travelers.

2 | Find Ferry Trips in 10 Seconds

Go to the “Book a Ferry” page (or click “Book Ferry Ticket” in the main menu).

Choose between “One Way” or “Round Trip.”

Enter your Starting Point, Destination, and Departure Date.

Specify the number of passengers: Adult / Child / Infant.

Click Search – the system will display all available ferries, including departure times, prices, and boat types (Speedboat, Catamaran, Ferry).

TIP: Use the filters like “Lowest Price” or “Fastest” to sort by budget or travel time.

3 | Compare & Choose the Right Ferry

Trip Details: Departure & arrival time, piers, ferry operators.

Luggage Policy: Most ferries include standard luggage (1 suitcase + 1 backpack). Extra luggage can be added in the next step.

Cancellation Policy: Look for the “Free Cancel” or “Non-Refundable” icon before proceeding.

4 | Fill in Passenger Info Quickly

Enter Full Name (as shown on the passport/ID – only one passenger’s details are required for the booking).

Add Email & Phone Number.

Add Pickup/Drop-off (if needed): You may request transfer services to/from your hotel. This is optional and comes with an extra fee depending on the vehicle type.

5 | 100% Secure Payment

ThailandFerryBooking supports:

  • Credit/Debit Cards (3-D Secure)

  • PromptPay (Bank Transfer via QR)

  • PayPal

You’ll be redirected to a secure SSL-encrypted payment page. Click Pay Now and wait about 10 seconds to return automatically to the booking summary page on thailandferrybooking.com.

TIP: Double-check the passenger name before payment. Name changes after ticket issuance may incur fees.

6 | Receive Confirmation Email & e-Ticket

An email will be sent within 5 minutes. (Check your Spam/Junk folder if you don’t see it.)

A PDF file will contain your Booking Reference.

You can print it or take a screenshot in case of weak mobile signal at the pier. Click Print Voucher in your email.

7 | Check-in at the Pier

Arrive at the pier at least 30–45 minutes before departure.

Show your e-Ticket and passport/ID card at the check-in counter.

You’ll receive a sticker or boarding pass to wear for easy identification. If unsure which ferry to board, ask the staff at the check-in counter.

If you’re traveling with a Car+Ferry Combo (e.g. from Phuket or Krabi Airport to Koh Phi Phi), the driver will contact you the day before. If you don’t receive a call, use the contact number shown at the bottom of your ticket.

For routes from Surat Thani Airport or Chumphon Airport, check in directly at the ferry company counter located in the airport’s departure zone. If unsure, call the phone number listed at the bottom of your ticket.
